BARTLESVILLE AREA SPORTS REPORT
Several area high school track athletes from Dewey, Wesleyan Christian, Pawhuska and Oklahoma Union vexed most the competition at the recent Vinita meet.
DEWEY CHAMPIONS: Keidon Holt and Kavery Weathers swept to the top two spots in both the boys 110m and 300m hurdles races. Londyn Bond and Kyla Overton finished first and second in the girls shot put and discus events. Jaelynn Smith powered to first place in the girls long jump.
PAWHUSKA CHAMPIONS: Tia Tanner beat all the competition in the girls pole vault. Madison Easley surged to first place in the girls 100m hurdles and second in the girls 300m hurdles. Teammate Riley Neel outran everyone in the girls 300m hurdles. Brooklyn Miles conquered the girls 400m dash. Pawhuska’s Tripp Walker flew to first place in the boys high jump and boys long jump.
OKLAHOMA UNION CHAMPIONS: 1st — Kaiden Kitterman Jennings (Oklahoma Union, 5-0) flew to the top spot in the girls high jump.
NOTEWORTHY: Dewey freshman Presley Smith finished second in a couple of events.
