BARTLESVILLE AREA SPORTS REPORT
The Bartlesville Bruins Varsity Cheer team is headed to the 6A State Championship this Saturday after a dominant performance at the Oklahoma Secondary School Activities Association regional tournament in Broken Arrow last weekend, where they punched their ticket in the highly competitive Large Co-ed Division.
The Bruins, coached by Kyle Kachelmeyer, will compete Saturday at Southern Nazarene University in Bethany at 1:50 p.m. Kachelmeyer is assisted by Mandi Kachelmeyer, Samantha Hoff and Christina Slaughter.
A Bruin Cheer state send-off will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at the circle drive off of Hillcrest at Bartlesville High School.
Leading the team are seniors Brayleigh Watson-Jackson, Madeline Lee, Madisyn Echols, Mekayla Franks and Taylor Wilson.
Other varsity team members include Adalyna Echols, Alexiah Glenn, Aliah Harvey, Austin Schlaupitz, Ava Morgan, Avery Vincent, Aubrey Hindman, Charli McCabe, Dejah Johnson, Hailee Clem, Isabella Johnson, Jaleigha Jackson, Justice Crabtree, Lillian Uriarte, Maci Artherton, Mackenzie Watson, McKenzie Perkins, Phoenix Norris, Piercelyn Nichols-Mitchell, Sophia Nachbor and Tyler Lacey.
