BARTLESVILLE AREA SPORTS REPORT
The Bartlesville Splash Club celebrated its 2025-2026 accomplishments in grand fashion to close out the season and begin a new chapter.
In addition to re-recognizing 58 Oklahoma State Champions, the club handed out milestone and yearly accomplishment awards during the ceremony.
The following athletes were recognized for their tenure in Splash Club membership:
10-Year Splash Club Membership: Grayson Ellis, Aysen Offutt, Parker Shoesmith
5-Year Splash Club Membership: Everett Ellis, Heidi Droege, Miles Brown
1-Year Splash Club Membership: Isaac Adame, Akshara Balaji, Declan Chiles, Teagan Chiles, Addilyn Crosby, Lucy Durrell, Lydia Gavrila, Nivrithi Gujjala, Raelyn Hunter, Alonze Jimenez, Kathiravan Karthikeyan, Kyrie Martin, Elias Martinez, Adhvika Mishra, Jasritha Ravada, Kate Smalley, Avery Tull, Banks Welter
The long-standing Irving B. Tietze Memorial Award was presented to Splash Club members who have continued their swimming careers at the collegiate level:
Addison Williams (swimming at William Jewell College in Missouri for the 2026 season)
Erin Roper (swimming for Truman State University in Missouri for the 2026 season)
Ensuring volunteers are recognized for their continued contributions and support, the Splash Club’s Spirit Award recipient is chosen for service and dedication to the club. Engraved into the plaque for the 2025-2026 season were:

The following athletes added their names to the wall of records in the Phillips 66 Aquatic Center for breaking team records:
Euan Kobersky (10-and-under boys): New long course meter team records for 50 breaststroke and 100 breaststroke.
Quinn Smith (11-12 girls): New long course meter team record for 200 backstroke.
Connor Durrell (11-12 boys): New short course yard team records for 1,000 freestyle and 1,650 freestyle; new long course meter team records for 200 freestyle, 400 freestyle, 200 butterfly, 200 breaststroke, and 200 individual medley.
Parker Shoesmith (15-16 boys): New short course yard team records for 500 freestyle, 100 freestyle, 100 breaststroke, and 200 breaststroke; new long course meter team records for 400 individual medley.

Thirty athletes were recognized for their efforts in the classroom with a Splash Club Student Athlete Award:
Aria Bratrsovsky, Miles Brown, Kevin Conteras, Daisy Droege, Heidi Droege, Connor Durrell, Amelia Durrell, Grayson Ellis, Everett Ellis, Oliver Ellis, James Enterkin, Devansh Gopu, Kamryn Hunter, Euan Kobersky, Eton Kobersky, Ana Meek, Keaston Meek, Emmett Moore, Aysen Offutt, Oliver Rakes, Ashlynn Taylor, Alexis Taylor, Annelie Shamhart, Karis Shamhart, Breckynn Shanklin, Bryleigh Shanklin, Parker Shoesmith, Macie Stapleton, Blace Williams, and Sophia Williams.
The Splash Club is back in the training pool after a break and gearing up for the new competition season. There are 87 swimmers currently on the roster and ready for growth.
"We’ve reorganized several of our training groups, and we’re genuinely excited about the positive impact this new structure will have—especially for our middle school student-athletes," head coach Chad Englehart said. "We believe these changes will strengthen team connection, boost confidence, and support the emotional well-being of our swimmers. It’s a fresh start, and we’re looking forward to seeing our athletes thrive together in this new environment."
Splash Club will host the Grand Area Special Olympics Swimming athletes for the third year on Sept. 12. at the Phillips 66 Aquatic Center. The event is free for spectators and competition starts at 11 a.m.
