BARTLESVILLE AREA SPORTS REPORT

When you think about success, many things may come to mind: the impact your presence has on an environment, how others remember you, what people say when you are not in the room, or the trophies, medals and records earned along the way.

For the Bartlesville Bruin swim team, success encompasses all those things and more. With a team-first approach, excellence in the classroom and a relentless drive to improve, the Bruins are ready to dive into the 2026-27 season.

"The Bartlesville High School swim team is the most successful athletic program in Bartlesville history and one of the most decorated in state history. Our meets are open to the public, and we would love to have their support," said longtime Bruin swim head coach Chad Englehart.

Building on a successful 2025-26 season—which included the 2026 Class A State Academic-winning girls' team and two returning state podium finishers—the Bruins enter the new season with a renewed focus: "Every swim, every point counts." In a sport where every tenth of a second can make a difference, that mindset will be key.

The roster combines new additions with veteran swimmers who are ready to lead the Bruins throughout the season.

The Bruins have long been contenders for podium finishes in both team and individual competition.

"I am excited to watch the development of the boys' team," Englehart said. "They have a good chemistry, and they are working really well together. I am optimistic about their potential and want to see how they develop throughout the ups and downs of a long season."

All home meets are held at the Phillips 66 Aquatic Center in downtown Bartlesville. Bruin activity cards are accepted on-site.
