Following a long rest to catch their breath — following a hectic first five weeks of the season — the Bartlesville Doenges Toyota Indians are set to snap back into action Wednesday.

Bartlesville will play at 8 p.m. at Bill Doenges Memorial Stadium, to open the Stan Musial World Series. Bartlesville also will play at 7 p.m. on Thursday.

The pool winner will qualify for Friday’s semifinals in Chickasha. The championship game is planned for Saturday.

The Indians (20-22) — who are coached by John Pannell — will face some familiar foes this week. Wednesday’s opponents will be DBAT (8 p.m.). On Thursday they will play Tulsa Sandlot at 7 p.m.

Next on the Indians’ current schedule following the Musial World Series will be the Oklahoma American Legion state tournament, scheduled for the weekend of July 24 in Ada. The state winner will qualify for the American Legion Mid-South Regionals — the last tier in qualifying for the American Legion World Series in North Carolina.
