MINOR LEAGUE REPORT: Jakob Hall sees first action for Mighty Mussels

During his first week of pro baseball a Bartlesville High School graduate has seen two stints as a relief pitcher for the Fort Myers (Fla.) Mighty Mussels, an A-level affiliate of the Minnesota Twins.
In his Mussels’ debut last week, Hall threw three innings of relief ball, giving up six hits and four runs while striking out two. He came away with a no-decision.
He got back on the bump on Thursday and worked two-thirds of an inning. with one run allowed, one walk and one strikeout.
Hall is a 6-foot 2, 195-pound rookie right-handed pitcher that the Minnesota Twins picked in the eighth round of last summer’s baseball draft.
Hall grew up in Bartlesville and garnered some of his baseball lessons with the United Linen team of the Bartlesville Area Amateur Baseball 14-and-under league, as well as participating on select teams.
He carved out a large swath of success on the diamond at Bartlesville High and excelled in three years of college baseball at Oral Roberts University.
Hall is blessed with a hard fastball and control of other pitches, as well as a calm and focused demeanor on the mound.
The Mighty Mussels own a 2-3 since last week’s season opener.
