During his nearly 30 years of covering area high school sports for either the Bartlesville Examiner-Enterprise or the Bartlesville Area Sports Report, Mike Tupa has enjoyed the opportunity to observe some incredible athletes.
This is an ongoing series highlighting each few days one of those athletes from the 1996-97 school year through the present. The list is not in chronological order. The athletes are presented in random sequence.

TIFFANY EDEN (Caney Valley)
Softball/girls basketball/girls track (early 2000s)
Eden’s garden of accomplishments included six state track medals and respect as one of the best softball players in this part of the state.
As a freshman, Eden burst to fourth place in the 100m hurdles, opening a glorious track career for the Lady Trojans.
By her senior season (2005), Eden bolted to the state title in the 300m hurdles and came in third in the 100m hurdles.
She also placed fourth in both events in 2004.
Eden also excelled on the softball diamond.
In a 6-5 loss in 2004 to a strong Dewey team, Eden slammed two singles and scored twice in the championship game of the Dewey tournament.
Earlier in the tourney, Caney Valley knocked off Copan, 1-0, with Eden putting down a sacrifice bunt that led to the winning run.
Eden ripped three singles in the tourney semifinal win against Barnsdall, 8-0.
During the 2004-05 girls basketball season, Eden dialed in 10 points during a 55-42 win against Hominy.
Eden also dished out five assists in a basketball rout of Pawhuska, 49-29, that pushed Caney Valley to within one win of the conference title.
She also helped power Caney Valley to second place in its own basketball tournament
Eden was indeed a polished athlete for all seasons.
