BARTLESVILLE AREA SPORTS REPORT

Following is a recap of area high school basketball results on Tuesday that were available.

OKLAHOMA UNION VS. DEWEY

BOYS: Dewey surged out to a big lead early and went on to win, 73-46. The Bulldoggers improved to 12-2 overall and 4-0 at home. Oklahoma Union fell to 2-10.

GIRLS: Dewey stampeded to its eighth win and second against Oklahoma Union, 51-21. Dewey improved to 8-6. Oklahoma Union fell to 2-11 after finishing 2-1 in the Hominy tourney.

MORRIS VS. CANEY VALLEY

BOYS: Caney Valley improved to 4-1 in its last five games and 7-3 overall with a 51-46 win against Morris.

GIRLS: Caney Valley held an opponent to fewer than 25 points for the sixth time in a 57-17 thumping of Morrison. The Lady Trojans improved to 11-1.

BARNSDALL VS. WESLEYAN CHRISTIAN

GIRLS: Wesleyan Christian emerged victorious in the pitched battle, 55-48. Wesleyan Christian reached double-digit victories (10-4). Barnsdall went to 7-7 and 0-2 this season against Wesleyan Christian.

NOWATA VS. RIVERFIELD

BOYS: Riverfield likely turned in one of its best performances of the season to take down a very good Nowata team, 78-48. Nowata suffered its third-straight loss and fell to 7-6 on the season.
