The Eagles (13-0-3, 11-0-1) travel to Avila. University on Wednesday.

Following is a look at last week’s matches.

OKWU 3, BELLEVUE 1:  Bellevue battled the Eagles to a 1-1 tie in the first half. OKWU took control in the second half with two goals by Adrian Mejia. Biel Campo assisted on both scores. Nemanja Vukovic shared one of the assists.

Campo also scored OKWU first-half goal, off an assist by Ryunsokue Masuzuka.

OKWU unleashed a fusillade of 27 shots — 14 on goal — to bury the scrappy Bellevue defense and goalie in unrelenting pressure.

Meanwhile, Bellevue’s attack managed just seven shots — none of them on goal.

Stefan Schenk played the distance in goal for OKWU.

OKWU 9, BETHANY 2: In their final regular season home match, the Eagles unleashed a tidal wave of offense — 26 shots, including 20 on goal.

Mejia amassed a hat-trick (3 goals), followed by Mateja Bozic and Campo with two apiece and Vitor Meirinho and Julian Tovar with one each.

Six different Eagles contributed assists: Vukovic (3), Tovar (2), Marko Rodic (1), Tylor Guerrero (1), Bozic (1) and Mihaujio Katanic (1).

Rodic also played most of the way in goal, allowing one goal and making two saves.

Ironman heroes that played 88 minutes for OKWU included David Pareja Alcaina, Lucas Miranda, Meirinho and Joao Gomes. Mejia stayed on the field for 70 minutes.

NOTE: Campo was named the KCAC Men’s Soccer Offensive Player of the Week.

At 19-2, the Lady Eagles are closing in one of their winningest-ever seasons.

In addition, this week they achieved a golden sweep in conference awards.

HONORS IN STEREO: OKWU pulled off a rare triple play in KCAC recognition last week, sweeping all the major awards — Rohrberg (Attacker of the Week), Collins (Setter of the Week) and Stojiljkovic (Defender of the Week).

This was the sixth time in nine weeks Collins earned the Setter of the Week honor. This was the third time for Rohrberg as Attacker of the Week, and the first time for Stojiljkovic as Defender of the Week. Cossich also has been named the Attacker of the Week once.

LADY EAGLES SOCCER

Head coach: Ivan Ristic

OKWU (14-1-1) extended its victory skein to nine in a row — and its unbeaten streak to 14 straight — with a 5-0 rout last week of Bethany (Kan.) College.

OKWU surged to a 4-0 lead in the first half and never looked back.

Kylie Reif finished with a hat-trick (3 goals) while Laura Gieseler and Jenna Vick scored one goal apiece.

Frederiekke Nielsen made two assists.

OKWU fired 17 shots — 11 on goal.

Reif, Gieseler and Kirsten Bruhns each played 74 minutes, followed by Linn Joelsson with 70 and Jenna Vick and Wendy Jimenez with 66 apiece.

Alessandra Martinez and Leona Kraus split time almost evenly in goal. Kraus made one save.

The Lady Eagles will close out the season on the road with a Saturday showdown at York (Neb.) University.

LADY EAGLES BASKETBALL

Head coach: Heidi Messer

All things considered, Oklahoma Wesleyan made a solid statement in a season-opening loss to Oklahoma City University.

OKWU led going into the final period, 48-47, but OCU dominated the fourth quarter, 22-9, to pull out the 69-57 win.

Taliyah Harris poured in 21 points and grabbed seven steals to lead the Lady Eagles, followed by Kamryn Phoenix with nine points and three rebounds off the bench. Gracie Alexander netted two three-pointers and eight points while Ashlyn Baker dialed in seven points and fingered four boards.

Offensive struggles in the fourth quarter — including hitting just 3-of-15 from the field — took its toll on the Lady Eagles.

OCU, meanwhile, hit nearly 50 percent of its field goals for the game and relied on balanced scoring — Ellie Willard and Jerzie Bryant with 11 points each, Weronika Tomaszuk and Victoria Ososonya with 10 apiece and Brooke Curry with nine.

Next up, OKWU hopes to treat itself to a win on Halloween Night when it goes on the road to play LSU-Alexandria.
