Oklahoma Wesleyan University’s men’s basketball team continues to rev up its offense.
The Eagles (4-1) flirted with 100 points Saturday night before settling for a 96-78 victory at Tabor (Kan.) College.
Meanwhile, the Lady Eagles (2-2) dropped their conference opener to Tabor, 78-46, on Saturday.
Following are details from both games.
EAGLES 96, TABOR 78
The bench came through with a major offensive contribution — 60 points, led by Isaac Stanek and Angel Hidalgos with 13 and 12, apiece.
Starter Nick Bene led with 16 points, while Tamaje Izuagbe chipped in with 11 points, five assists and four rebounds
Rounding out OKWU’s top scorers were Malachi Okunbor, nine points, followed by Nathaniel Law and Yashi McKenzie with eight apiece.
UNSUNG HERO: Jaden Wilson contributed four points, four rebounds and three steals.
THREE-POINT MARKSMEN: Hidalgos pumped in four treys, followed by Izuagbe, Stanek and Okunbor with three apiece. As a team, OKWU nearly shot 50 percent (17-of-36) from behind the arc.
MORE’S THE BETTER: OKWU head coach Donnie Bostwick played 18 different players.
DOUBLE-DIGIT BATTALION: Tabor boasted six double-digit scorers — Brayden West-Linnett (12), Niihihii Blackbear (12), Marque Wilkerson (11), Jake Weaver (10), Jackson Baer (10), Khalil Allen (10).

TABOR 78, OKWU 46
Khassidy Warr hit 5-of-8 field goals and scored 13 points to lead the OKWU effort. Ashlyn Baker added 10 points and two three-pointers.
Katelyn Penner put in eight points.
SECOND HALF SHOOTING TOUCH: OKWU hit 13-of-29 field goals in the second half after making only 6-of-26 in the first half.
BOARD DISPARITY: Tabor pulled down 37 caroms compared to 19 for the Lady Eagles.
FIRST HALF WOES: OKWU warmed the nets with 14 points the first two quarters and trailed at halftime, 47-14. OKWU outscored Tabor in the second half, 32-31.
NOT YOUR AVERAGE SMITH: Tayton Smith piled up a double-double for Tabor (12 points, 15 rebounds).
