BARTLESVILLE SENIOR SWIMMERS HONORED WITH ACADEMIC AWARDS AND SCHOLARSHIPS

During the Bartlesville Bruin Senior Awards ceremony on May 18, all four Bartlesville Bruin senior swim team members were recognized for their outstanding academic achievements outside of the pool.
Macie Stapleton was recognized for high academic achievement on the principal's honor roll with a 4.0 GPA. She was also the recipient of the Alpha Delta Kappa sorority scholarship award for her commitment to becoming a teacher. Stapleton will attend Oklahoma State University in Stillwater in the fall of 2026 to pursue a degree in education.
Travis Lief was recognized for high academic achievement with a 4.0 GPA for all four years of high school and as an AP Scholar with Honor. Lief was also the recipient of the Larry Houchin Sportsmanship Scholarship Award, a scholarship nominated by coaches and administered through the Bartlesville Community Foundation and the Bartlesville Sports Commission. Lief will attend Oklahoma State University in Stillwater in the fall of 2026 to pursue a degree in aerospace engineering.
Ashlynn Taylor was honored as the senior female Bartlesville Bruin Athlete of the Year, for academic high achievement on the principal's honor roll with a 4.0 GPA, and as an AP Scholar with Distinction. Taylor also received the Coach Ramiro Gonzalez Scholarship award for her achievements as a student-athlete. Taylor will continue her academic and swim career at Valparaiso University in the fall of 2026.
Anna Wells was recognized for high academic achievement and as an AP Scholar. Wells will attend the University of Tulsa to pursue a degree in business.
