BARTLESVILLE AREA SPORTS REPORT
Bartlesville High School’s swim program began the new year with a tidal wave of success.
The Bruins and Lady Bruins swept Broken Arrow and Tulsa Washington in the boys and girls competitions, respectively.
Chad Englehart is the head coach for both teams.
Following is a closer look at the Bartlesville highlights.

LADY BRUINS
Bartlesville swept the championship of all three relay races in a powerful show of force.
Anna Young, Ashlynn Taylor, Karis Shamhart, Alexis Taylor and Daisy Droege each swam on one of the winning relay teams.
Young also burst to two individual championships (girls 200 I.M., girls 100 backstroke.
Capturing one individual title apiece were Droege (200 freestyle) and Shamhart (100 breaststroke).

BRUINS
Bartlesville bolted across the rest of the field in the boys 400 freestyle relay (Travis Lief, Blace Williams, Kevin Contreras and Parker Shoesmith).
Anthony Mann boasted two individual titles (boys 500 freestyle, boys 100 breaststroke).
Bruins with one individual title each included: Lief (200 I.M.), Miles Brown (50 freestyle) and Grayson Ellis (100 freestyle).
