The Bartlesville Buffaloes' perfect season came to an end Sunday with a 3-2 playoff loss to the Little Rock Rangers at Custer Stadium on the Bartlesville High School campus. The semi-pro team had been dominating the United Premier Soccer League's OK-AR Conference with nine wins, one draw and 28 total points.
Before the loss, the Rangers were in second place with 17 points, followed closely by Side FC with 16 points. The Buffaloes' strong performance throughout the season was capped off with a community-focused event earlier in the week, hosting a free soccer clinic at Robinwood Park for kids of all ages.
The clinic emphasized basic skills and teamwork, showcasing the Buffaloes' commitment to developing young talent in the area. The team's dedication to the community was further highlighted as Bartlesville Special Olympic athletes escorted players onto the field before the playoff match.
The FC Bartlesville Buffaloes team was founded by four Oklahoma Wesleyan University alumni, who aimed to bring high-level soccer to the Bartlesville area.
